More than a college

At The Cheadle College, we provide an enrichment programme that is engaging and challenging for all our students. Through enrichment, you’ll be given the chance to learn a variety of new and interesting skills, which will aid you when applying for jobs or places at universities.

We truly believe that an excellent study programme along with enrichment is your key to future success. College is also about building friendships and creating memories that will last a lifetime. From local and international trips, to sports clubs and student societies, our enrichment offer gives you the chance to get the most out of your time with us.

Clubs & Societies

Keep fit, have fun and meet new people. From basketball to yoga, football to first aid, there’s a wide range of activities to choose from at The Cheadle College.

Through our Sporting Excellence programme you may also be chosen to represent the college at local sporting competitions. Our dedicated sports department will visit your classes, posting on our social media and advertising across the college to keep you informed on what sports clubs are on offer and when training takes place.

Take advantage of our incredible on-site art facilities and Mac suites and let your creative juices flow by joining our Art & Media club. From trips to Art Galleries and Cinema Film screenings to staring in your own short films and creating works of art, there’s plenty to get involved in with this like-minded group. Talk to our student services team or Art Department to get involved.

From our Law and Business students to A Level Art, students from all walks of life come together to form our Law & Debating Club, better known as our Think Law programme at The Cheadle College.

The programme will give you, no matter your abilities, a fun way of developing your oracy skills using different activities to help students with your critical thinking and confident communication. The programme will also help you to become more informed about political and global affairs, providing a venue for you to train in debating for competitions or a future career. Talk to our Employer Engagement Team or student services for more information on the Think Law programme.

Work alongside our marketing department as a student journalist and creative writer. From producing interest columns and student guides to taking over our social media channels, our marketing team will work with you to give your creative writing the platform it deserves.

Our student-led news is featured across our website, social media channels and gains a viewership of over 1m readers annually. Email marketing@tcg.ac.uk to get involved.
