Our specialist provision supports students with special educational needs to achieve E1 and E2 qualifications in a secure discrete environment. The qualifications are current and support individuals to achieve a positive outcome at a low level, the course offers flexibility to respond to individual needs and circumstances of learners. The curriculum is based on preparation for adulthood, with outcomes including employment, independent living, community partnership and health. Maths and English delivery is contextualised within the course content, bespoke to each learners needs and level.

Foundation Learning
A flexible and inclusive course offer, in response to students’ individual needs and requirements. The content can be differentiated to provide maximum stretch and challenge, personal and social development and progression opportunities.
With a well-planned collaborative approach to delivery by specialist teachers and Learning Facilitators supporting a positive experience for all our students. Students are introduced to the community through a range of enrichment activities, supporting the broader experience.
Progression from Entry 1 to Entry 2 course, with the opportunity for learners to progress to Entry 3 in vocational studies programme. Opportunity to apply for the Supported Internship at Stepping Hill Hospital.
Our Level 1 and Level 2 Choices students have enjoyed working to a varied timetable including Workskills, Healthy Living, Community Access and Functional Skills. Learners follow a visual timetable to provide support and routine. With a range of work placements opportunities building employability skills preparing learners for the Supported Internship.
Observation and portfolio of evidence.
This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and the European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
