The CTEC in Health and Social Care is a two-year course equivalent to 3 A Levels. The course will lead to a highly specialised work-related qualification where you will gain the knowledge, understanding and skills to prepare you to progress to employment or continue to study in Higher Education.

General entry requirements for our Level 3 Vocational Qualifications include 4 GCSEs grade 4 or above, including English and/or Maths. For Health & Social Care we are looking for applicants with a passion for helping others.

Some of the units you could study include: Building Positive Relationships in health and social care, Career Planning for health and Social care, The impact of long-term physical conditions, Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Social Care, Research methods in health, social care and childcare, Safeguarding Psychology for health and social care, Sociology for health and social care

Employment within industry in a technical or administrative capacity, Higher Education at University for Degree or Higher National Diploma courses in a Science related course

Nursing degree (Adult, Children, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities), Midwifery, Social Work, Social Care Work, Primary School Teaching, Children and Young Peoples Workforce, Allied Health professions e.g. Occupational Therapy, Customer Service sector

The course is assessed by 42% examination and 58% coursework.
