Course Overview

This is a full-time qualification for one year, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of IT focusing on creative skills and technologies.

The course is ideal if you are interested in a career in IT or any digital industry. Not only will you develop your IT skills, knowledge and understanding but you will develop many skills in software packages. There are no external exams

Course Requirements

4 GCSE’s at Grade 3 or above (including maths and/or English Language).

What you will Learn

You will develop a wide range of IT skills that will be valuable in the workplace. You will also understand the design process through planning, designing and making graphics, a website and a game.

Assessment

Your assessments are all done on the computer and are coursework based – there are no exams.

Progression

Successful completion of this qualification allows you to progress to the Level 3 IT course or will help you obtain a good apprenticeship.
