Course Overview

The Foundation course in Childcare T-Level course is aiming to give you skills and confidence to work within an educational setting. You will learn about Professional workplace behaviour. You will observe and follow the standards of working in a professional environment and learn skills to support.

Course Requirements

5 GCSE’s at Grade 4 or above (including maths and English Language).

What you will Learn

There will be many opportunities to develop your personal skills including problem-solving skills and critical thinking as you learn to apply what you have learnt in college in your industry placement.

Giving you the basics to expand your knowledge once you progress onto the T Level course.

Assessment

It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks, course work or methods such as oral questioning.

Progression

Upon successful completion of the course learners progress onto the T level qualifications in childcare and education.

Career Options

This qualification is not a licence to practice and is designed to help learners progress onto higher level qualifications in childcare and education, which may eventually result in job roles such as practitioner in day nurseries, practitioner in nursery schools, practitioner in reception classes in primary schools or pre-school worker.
